Harlequin Scaffolding are working with SafeStand to supply a working platform for the bricklayers on a new development in Wallington, Greater London for Barratt Homes. The SafeStand 1200 System has proved to be versatile and quick to erect, helping the scaffolders to keep well ahead of the bricklayers.

New Mill Quarter is an exciting regeneration scheme offering energy efficient homes to a mixed development of high quality apartments and 3 and 4 bedroom homes. Not only does this development offer open-plan living but also, generous ceiling heights with many homes having floor to ceiling windows to maximise natural light. Leafy-green surroundings and excellent links to central London, New Mill Quarter is built around a public open space with family play areas and on-site retail units and will create a community of 440 new homes.

Pearl Builders & Stone Restoration Ltd, have chosen the SafeStand® 1200 system as their preferred  access option on the Canterbury Cathedral project managed by Buxton Building Contractors Ltd.

The cathedral is undergoing an extensive refurbishment, with works to the West Wing  and Christ Church Gates. It will also include a new Welcome Centre and viewing gallery to the UNESCO listed building.

Works are funded by the lottery grant, trusts and Friends of Canterbury Cathedral. This is a five year project known as ‘The Canterbury Journey’.

SafeStand® have taken delivery of a new Mercedes Econic which has been purpose built to unique specifications to meet the needs of both SafeStand® and City Centre driving. Following detailed and lengthy specification meetings with Mercedes the result is an extremely functional and environmentally friendly vehicle which is a first for London’s Roads.

SafeStand® achieved another huge milestone today when we reached our 15,000^th Hire Contract. Our customer Blou Construction Ltd took delivery of our SafeStand® 1200 system on their contract for main contractor, Chisholm & Winch, at the Mount Pleasant Mail Centre in the City of London.

Blou Construction Ltd was founded by Paul Martin in 2010 with a single vision; to build an exceptional bricklaying contracting business which delivers on its promises and produces quality works safely, whilst not losing sight of his strong personal traditional ethics and values.

They have used SafeStand® Access Systems on the majority of their construction sites since July 2011, and continue to be a valued customer of ours.

Center Parcs is coming to Ireland

Construction works are well under way on the new Center Parcs site being built in Ballymahon, Co. Longford, Ireland. Once again SafeStand® Access Systems have been chosen as the preferred access systems for the build works, continuing the trend of supplying other Centre Parcs construction sites. Master Stonemasons; contracting to John Sisk & Son; will be using SafeStand® for the construction works.

Based in nearby Athlone, Master Stonemasons are ideally situated to serve the needs of this contract which will include 470 self-catering lodges and 30 apartments to accommodate up to 2,500 guests, with more than 100 indoor and outdoor family activities, all year round, whatever the weather. Guests will also be able to enjoy a range of restaurants and shops, and a superb Aqua Sana Spa and a Subtropical Swimming Paradise.

SafeStand ® Access Systems is currently being used on the famous Denham Film Studios, where the movies of numerous Oscar winning films were processed and first screened to their directors. Weston Homes are transforming the Grade II Listed building into a £120 million Art Deco inspired residential address.

The new Development will provide 224 converted & newly built homes; including 154 one, two and three bedroom apartments and 70 four and five bedroom family townhouses.

These plans aim to retain and to restore the current cinema and the various streets within the development will be named after famous historic movies, film directors and actresses / actors who worked at the film studios over the decades.
