08/09/2015 SafeStand® Ltd were asked by Kier and Wates to present the SafeStand® Low Level Access Systems at a Road Show on the iconic Greenwich Peninsula development in London. The SHE (Safety, Health and Enviroment) day was a joint day with Kier, Wates, Morrisroe, Volker Fitzpatrick, Ardmore and was hosted by Knight Dragon Developments Ltd. This allowed the suppliers on the supply chain that were asked to exhibit, the opportunity to showcase their products to over 300 contractors currently working on the surrounding sites within the development.

The Greenwich Peninsula development comprises of a number of multi-storey developments with views overlooking London and the river Thames.

SafeStand® is currently being used by the brickwork contractor Sheriff Builders Ltd on the Wates site (MO 104) East Parkside where they are currently building blockwork walls in the basement areas. The day itself was a great success and the SafeStand® Staircase seemed to be quite popular with Rick Longley – Wates Senior SHE Advisor saying “I would like to see the staircases used wherever possible rather than ladders”. Ben Fleming, Project Manager of Keir’s Biomass site said “I am a big fan of SafeStand® as this allows the bricklayers to work without delays caused by access issues”.
